Oooohhh enjoy the print-tastic explosion via Jeetinder Sandhu GFW collection. I’m crushing on the pops of colour and tribal type elephant print! I actually discovered Jeetinder’s work through a post by Theresa from Retarded Velvet (another fab print design label) and decided I definitely had to share his work on my blog too. Revlon is one of those make up brands that has never really made much of an impression on me. I’ve always presumed it was a bit dated. I might have to take another look after stumbling across their work at the Ahh-mazing Sophia Webster’s S/s 14 London Fashion Week presentation: Supa Dupa Fly. Sophia Webster is one of London’s brightest design talents and I love that her S/s 14 presentation was a fun, colourful fantasy just like her footwear and bags! Revlon’s team matched Sophia designs with bonkers hair, fresh make up and delicious graphic nails.

Nargis Fakhri has been shot in SOOOO many amazing labels for editorials across all the leading Indian glossies. And its great to see that even her off duty style is pretty damn hot. Here’s my favourite looks from her recent promos for new film ‘Madras Cafe’

Over London Fashion Week, Love For Fashion blogger Meera Sharma and I popped into Fashion Monitor’s Style Lounge. Not only did they treat journo’s and bloggers with a chill out space at The Mayfair Hotel, they also offered a range of treats from getting hair done, a Bourjois make over, a massage or a manicure. I opted for the mani and went for the Mine’s A Rose from Leighton Denny’s S/s 13- The Riviera Collection. I think it’s the perfect nude shade for Indian skin. I usually find nude shades either too close to my skin colour or a little too pinky this one really is perfect.
Ignore the nail smudges that’s my fault for being too impatient and not letting the polish dry properly!

Forgive me for this snapshot of a post on WIFW S/s 13– I’m suffering from Fashion Week analysis fatigue. I covered Lakme Fashion Week on the blog recently and have been trawling through all the London, Paris, N.Y & Milan coverage for the day job so I am one fashed –out girl!
Here are my fav five collections, they are not posted in any particular order.
Namrata Joshipura collection had a plethora of hot trends- sheer layering, oriental florals, iridescent
embellishment and uber hot 7/8th trousers. My fave pieces of hers are always the jumpsuits or trouser and shirt combos because she always manages to make traditionally masculine shapes ohhh so sexy.
Manish Malhotra collection was beautiful, I love the subdued colour palette of earthy tones with pops of fuchsia and amber. The chikan work pieces were timeless.

Kallol Datta 1955 collection was full of beautiful voluminous silhouettes and strong graphic prints.
I love the graphic prints, asymmetric hems and neon pops at Gaurav Gupta
All these collections have interesting textures & silhouettes with only a hint of embellishment in places which to me feels really fresh right now.
I might not have done a comprehensive trend report for WIFW but here’s a mini synopsis of some key crossover trends seen on the S/s 13 catwalks (London, Paris, Milan, N.Y, Lakme & WIFW)
Touch of the Orient (AM: PM, Prada & Arjun Saluja)
Graphic prints (Generally seen in Black & White at Marc Jacobs, Kallol Datta and James Ferreira)
Iridescence (Rajesh Pratap Singh, Balmain & Louis Vuitton)
Sheer (Haider Ackermann, Bodice, Namrata Joshipura)
Volume – fullness seen in sleeve heads through to full hips or in inflated cape shapes. (Ritu Kumar, Miu Miu, Kallol Datta 1955)
