Oooohhh enjoy the print-tastic explosion via Jeetinder Sandhu GFW collection. I’m crushing on the pops of colour and tribal type elephant print! I actually discovered Jeetinder’s work through a post by Theresa from Retarded Velvet (another fab print design label) and decided I definitely had to share his work on my blog too. It was full on glam earlier this week at the Emmy awards and there were plenty of gowns that had more than a hint of bridal about them. Many of the gowns were working this (and next seasons) hot trend- texture. And I’ve got to say some of the textured gowns were a little too twee for me that’s why my fave was the J Mendel gown Kate Mara wore. The placement geometric lace and thigh high split gave the gown a real edge.

Revlon is one of those make up brands that has never really made much of an impression on me. I’ve always presumed it was a bit dated. I might have to take another look after stumbling across their work at the Ahh-mazing Sophia Webster’s S/s 14 London Fashion Week presentation: Supa Dupa Fly. Sophia Webster is one of London’s brightest design talents and I love that her S/s 14 presentation was a fun, colourful fantasy just like her footwear and bags! Revlon’s team matched Sophia designs with bonkers hair, fresh make up and delicious graphic nails.

Here’s my latest Label Lust ladies- Ridhi Mehra.
Ridhi’s capsule collections have been making quite the impact. Her floral anarkali was worn by Sonam Kapoor and she’s already got several major stockists including Ogaan, Aza and Pernia’s Pop Up. Not bad for a newbie hey? and a newbie whose work hasn’t even hit the catwalks yet! The reason I’m crushing on Ridhi’s work is the way she use details (think pink tucks, sheer panels, fabric/colour blocking and zips) and what’s become her signature-placement embroideries and embellishments. All these elements come together in her ohhh so yum designs and just look so fresh and so chic. In the lookbook below her S/s pretty florals and colour palette have been replaced with these rich autumnal Vampy colours. Now all I need is for her to get a London stockist!

I’m a mush pot at the moment aren’t I? Here I am sharing some more real weddings.
Victoria Secret’s model Chrissy Teigen married singer John Legend (yep..tonight’s the night is looping in my head as I write this- gotta love some of that Legend!) and Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh married rapper Stephen Manderson aka Professor Green.
Chrissy and John got married in Lake Como and the bride apparently wore three Vera Wang gowns throughout the day. I would like to call Chrissy an honorary Indian after reading that. Well us Indian’s like an outfit change or two don’t we?! I found these two pics on Chrissy’s Instagram but no sighting of the third gown as of yet.
I love the natural hair and make up and the fullness of the gown. Just beautiful

Millie and Stephen married in Somerset at the Grade 2 listed Babington House. Millie looked as beautiful as ever wearing Temperly and her braided updo and natural make up were in keeping with the boho vintage vibe of the gown. Yep, I’m a few weeks late with this but ohh Well! It’s a collection that’s still worth sharing!
Payal Singhal’s Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive collection was a collection of two parts. The first part was an exciting mash up of traditional shapes which were given a further edge with graphic prints in a palette of blush tones and inky blacks. The second part was more in keeping with the pretty Indo-Western aesthetic she’s known for and will keep fans happy but as you can tell it was the first part that wowed me- so here I am sharing those images!
And as for inspiration- the collection was inspired by the symmetry and the relationship between nature and architecture found in ‘Char Bagh’ which translates as four gardens and refers to the Persian style of garden where the space is divided into four equal parts by either a walkway or water channels. The most famous example is the Taj Mahal.
I think this outfit is just so chic.

I was having a flick through some of the recent New York Fashion Week coverage and in particular some of the FROWs when I found a pic of Princess Deena Al Juhani Abdulaziz. One look at the Ohhhh So Chic Saudi Princess had me searching for more street style snaps. Low and behold after seeing a few more pics a full on Style Crush had developed. Princess Deena has some serious fash cred. She is the owner of D’NA a boutique in Riyadh that stocks an eclectic mix of directional labels from Marni, Peter Pilotto, Pamela Love and The Row.

I’ve been sooooo slow at adding some A/w looks to my wardrobe for one simple reason- I just didn’t want to admit Summer was coming to an end. But seeing as that chill seems like its here to stay its time I got a little season ready and my fave A/w trend is def Think Pink. Here’s my latest Trend Post for Vogue India on all things Pink!…
Think pink this autumn/winter. And to give the colour a seasonal update, think minimal as well.
Instead of embellishment and colour blocking with bold tones, go for shades of blush, rose and magenta in key pieces — sweaters, dresses, pants and skirts. If head-to-toe pink doesn’t appeal to you, pair the various hues of rose with classic separates in neutral tones of whites, ivories, stone, khakhis, greys, blacks and metallics.

Designer looks we love are Manish Malhotra’s flowing maxi, Victoria Beckham’s two-tone crepe dress and Nishka Lulla’s blush and gold coat. As always, high street has some great pieces too — Topshop’s simple strappy camisole and Zara’s blush pants and blazers.
Pink is especially natural in India. It reminds us of Rajasthani choli blouses and girly wedding lehengas. Remember what the original Voguette Diana Vreeland famously once said: “Pink… it’s the navy blue of India.”

Talk about a fashion re-invention. Nishka Lulla’s design direction has done a one eighty and thank goodness for it! Her first few collections were abysmal but those sugary sweet Barbie inspired collections have gone and have been replaced by boy meets girl shapes in yum fabrics and cuts that are so ON for 2013. Actually I have to say she got my seal of approval after that beauty of a A/W 12 collection at LFW and here she is continuing with her chic day luxe vibe…

This blush and metallic collarless coat ticks all the boxes! Love it!

For this week’s Wedding Weds I’m sharing a real wedding and a Royal wedding at that! Prince Rahim Aga Khan married Kendra Spears or as she has now been named Princess Salwa a few days ago. The glamourous couple wore Manav Gangwani for the ceremony. Princess Salma wore an elegant ivory and gold embroidered Sari and Prince Rahim Aga Khan an Ivory brocade Sherwani. The couple were introduced to Manav through Naomi Campbell who he dressed for Naomi’s ex beau’s 50’th birthday bash in India. We’re so used to seeing couples in India attire wearing bright colours, heavy embellishment and jewellery that its refreshing to see such a toned down yet stunning look.
Congrats to the couple and to Manav Gangwani!
