For my engagement party I ended up getting a little creative. I made a cake stand, some tissue paper floral centerpieces and the thank you cards. I thought I’d post some tutorials on how I got on and here’s the first- the D.I.Y Thank You cards. They were super easy to make, inexpensive and I enjoyed creating them.
I bought a plain pack of 50 A5 cards and envelopes from hobbycraft for £5.99 (I think that’s the right price) and a single gift wrap pack from WHSmith for £2.99 (again, I think that’s the right price) I then drew my love bird shapes onto tracing paper and traced over the images onto the plain side of the wrapping paper
I even traced the thank you writing so I’d get a similar look on each card.
Then I glued down the love birds, traced the thank yous and then glued some sequins onto the card. (I just used whatever I had in my sewing box)
There was some ribbon in the gift wrap pack so I glued a piece on to finish it off.
and that’s it all done

They’re so cute!
thanks! x

Regular readers will know I’m getting married next year and this new regular on the blog is a place for me to indulge in all things weddings. Yep, I know I already blog about Bridal wear but this is going to be more on the lines of mood boards, hair/make up inspiration, tips on how to pick your suppliers & my fav- D.I.Y tutorials. I’ve shared a couple of D.I.Y projects before (which I really enjoyed putting together!)- D.I.Y Wedding Favours- Orange & Cardamom biscuits, D.I.Y Wedding/Engagement Cake Stand & D.I.Y Thank You Cards.
